Kinephonics is driven by the belief that everyone deserves the chance to be understood. We combine neuroscience, design and lived experience to create assistive technology that helps people connect — with words, with ideas, and with each other.
From early literacy innovation to world-first communication tech
- 2005 The story of Kinephonics begins in 2005, when long-time educator Anna Gill published Look at My Mouth, a children’s book designed to help young learners visualise and understand speech through mirror feedback.
The concept — using sight, sound and movement together — was later recognised in From Brain to Mind by neuroscientist James E. Zull as a powerful model of multisensory learning. - 2016 – 2022 In 2016, the book evolved into an early-stage app (Lipfit), and by 2022, after years of clinical testing, patent development, and practitioner collaboration, Kinephonics launched as a full-scale assistive platform.
- Today Today, it supports communication growth for people of all ages and neurotypes — at home, in school, in therapy, and beyond.
